Middletown Machine Co. "Woodpecker"
Woodpecker was machined from a Richard Shelly casting kit.
The crankshaft was machined from solid tool steel. The valves,
valve springs and push rod are stainless steel. A TIM-6 transistor
ignition circuit uses a "Hall Effect" magnetic pickup
for ignition timing. I use old "Briggs & Stratton"
lawnmower engine magnetos operating on a 6 volt battery for the
high voltage source on all my spark plug ignition engines.
