"Howell V-4 Engine" Optional Manifold Castings
Intake Manifold
Step 1 - Mill the throttle mounting surface.
Step 2 - Mill the manifold bottom surface.
Step 3 - Mill the flanges a little at a time and testing the fit on the engine using
the jig and a 45 degree triangle. Be sure the rotational cutting force is in the
same direction the casting is leaning as shown.
Exhaust Manifolds
Step 1 - Mill the head flanges using a "V" block - don't crush the casting with
the clamp! Be sure the rotational cutting force is in the same direction that the
casting is leaning as shown.
