Stuart Turner 10H Steam Engine

I machined this engine in the mid 1970's from a set of Stuart
Turner castings. The bore is 3/4" with a 3/4" stroke
and the flywheel is 3" diameter. I added my own lubricator,
flyball governor and drum type steam regulating valve. The governor
belt is a series of springs connected together. After several
years, I decided that the engine should do some work so I added
the 8 pole permanent magnet 4 brush generator. I found the circular
field and armature set at a surplus store back in the 1960's and
made the "dynamo looking" case for them. A large load
(relative to the size) on the generator will make the engine get
down and bark on 30 PSI of air pressure.
